Philips Lighting and Dubai Municipality launched the world’s most energy efficient bulb in the world, dubbed the ‘Dubai Lamp’. Inspired by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, to make Dubai the most efficient city by 2020, the Dubai Lamp efficiently conserves upto 90% of the energy consumed by other bubs in the Dubai market.

“Our partnership with Dubai Municipality is a prime example of how a public-private partnership can deliver innovation and help combat the serious issue of climate change.” – Eric Rondolat, CEO, Philips Lighting.

Apart from being energy efficient, the Dubai lamp lasts 25 times longer than conventional lighting, with no UV radiation and negligible heat dissipation. It boasts of being eco-friendly and mercury free, thereby contributes to a brighter and healthier future for generations to come.

“We aim to replace 10 million lamps in Dubai by 2020.” – Mr. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality.

Dubai Lamp is available in four models in both cool daylight and warm white colors. Its filament LED technology gives the same decorative impression as incandescent lamps, with a lifetime of upto 25,000 hours.
