Have you ever wondered what it’d be like to be really tiny? Getting lost in your garden and living in the movie Honey I shrunk the kids? Well you don’t need to imagine or shrink yourself. The Dubai Municipality announced their latest project idea on Facebook, an eco-friendly city in the shape of flowers.

The project embodies the vision of Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and is in line with the UAE policy of following a sustainable approach to urbanisation.

The Desert Rose City, will house schools, shopping malls, clinics and hospitals, villas and designated housing for Emiratis running on renewable energy. The city will be totally self-sustainable, will have its own police station, mosques and other services. The project is expected to welcome 160,000 inhabitants to an area of more than 14,000 hectares and should be complete by 2020.
